Reshma Mudirakkal is the founder of Depth Therapeutics™ — working with archetypal patterns through a Jungian lens for transformation, meaning, and creative renewal.

At Depth Therapeutics™, every turning point is an invitation. When life unravels, meaning slips away, or familiar structures collapse, something deeper begins to move. This practice meets such thresholds — moments of rupture, crisis, or transition — where the unconscious presses into life. Real change begins when what lies beneath is given form and meaning through symbolic engagement.

The work offers a psychologically grounded space for reflection and conversation that bridges inner and outer worlds. Insight becomes embodied experience, and the language of the psyche is brought into dialogue with daily life — helping clients find coherence, meaning, and direction when life feels uncertain.

Background

Reshma's orientation began in early encounters with the unconscious. Raised in a family where schizophrenia was a daily reality, she witnessed fragmentation, mania, and the violent intensity of psychic suffering firsthand. While traumatic, it was also an initiation into a visceral understanding of the psyche's depths—both its destructive capacity and its creative potential. That early confrontation with psychic disorder became the foundation of her life's work.

In her twenties, after postgraduate studies in Business and Entrepreneurship, she built a successful corporate career. It was a necessary formation—the ego had to become strong enough to later withstand its own dissolution. Beneath that achievement, another movement stirred. A collapse into depression dismantled the structures that had once defined her—achievement that had carried her far, until it could carry her no further. What emerged was not gradual insight but sudden reorganization: mind and body reordered overnight by a force beyond the ego's reach. The experience established in Reshma a direct understanding of transformation—not as theory, but as lived process—and opened a lifelong dialogue with the unconscious, where meaning, image, and embodiment continually refine one another.

These twin initiations shaped the ground of her vocation: to create language and frameworks strong enough to hold what emerges when the unconscious breaks through into life. When she later encountered Jung's writings, she recognized in them the map of what she had already lived. Depth psychology offered a way of working faithful to psyche's own movement.

Reshma trained in hypnotherapy and other modalities, began her practice at Synergy Alternative Medical Center in Dubai, where she worked as an integrated therapist. It was a formative experience—immersion in the therapeutic relationship, witnessing the complexity of human suffering, and recognizing both the power and limitations of technique. She sensed that beyond technique lay a deeper source: imagistic, symbolic, alive with its own intelligence. She chose to listen to her own earlier initiations with the unconscious and let them guide her forward.

This led her to Jung. She entered sustained Jungian analysis—a process spanning over a decade—and deepened her training to include somatic practice (Jin Shin Jyutsu® physio-philosophy) and sustained archetypal study in the Liz Greene lineage (Dip. MISPA, MAPAI). Two decades of practice have refined her capacity to recognize archetypal patterns and translate them into psychological insight.

Approach

Depth Therapeutics™ rests on three enduring commitments:

Suffering as the ground of transformation — the willingness to stay with what wounds until its meaning reveals itself.

Fidelity to psyche's unfolding — honoring the intelligence that moves through dreams, images, and the body rather than imposing method.

Symbolic and embodied integration — the slow work of translating insight into lived experience within a container strong enough to hold conflict and renewal.

Two decades of living and working with these depths have shaped Reshma into a practitioner grounded in discernment and depth. Clients consistently describe her presence as both anchoring and incisive — a steady container that does not waver, and at the same time one that challenges illusion and invites deeper courage.

The work is contemplative and conversational — an environment where what is hidden can gradually take shape and be met with understanding.

About Reshma

Having lived across cultures, Reshma's recent years have centered on belonging and home.

She lives slowly, quietly — hands in clay, walks in nature, time with friends and delights in cooking. She has a close connection to sea and nature. The sacred, for her, lives in laughter, in the exquisite beauty of everyday life and the absurdity of being human. She loves to listen to the call of her wild heart.
